DECEMBER 14-16: Nutcracker Production Has Cast of 100

Christmas time means Nutcracker magic: The Russian Ballet turned American Classic is also a beloved Eastern Shore Holiday Tradition thanks to the talents and dedication of the ESO Arts Center School of Dance students led by Director Dana Floyd Sutter.

In its 22nd year, the magic begins anew as a cast of nearly 100 prepare to tell the enchanted story that entwines a young girl’s dream of a prince and a battle with the Mouse King, a guiding angel and an amazing visit through the Land of Snow to the Kingdom of Sweets.

Each year a fresh production transforms a humble stage into a Christmas Eve fantasy with elaborate costumes, a famous musical score and the captivating art of dance.

Shows are December 14-16. Friday and Saturday are at 7 p.m., and Sunday is at 2 p.m. at Nandua High School.

Save $3 when you buy adult tickets in advance for $12, $5 for students.
