FRIDAY 1/11: ‘Honey Bees I Have Known and Loved’

Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia is pleased to announce its next seminar, “Honey Bees I Have Known and Loved,” 12:30 p.m. Friday, January 11, in the Lecture Hall, Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy., Melfa. Russell Vreeland will lead the seminar and describe how honey bees contribute to our lives, particularly in agriculture.

Vreeland is retired on the Shore and has been closely involved in the research being conducted on current honey bee problems.

These seminars are occasionally rescheduled or postponed on short notice. Prospective attendees are urged to check the Seminar’s website (www.SciPhi.org) within two days of a scheduled date.

Science and Philosophy Seminar is an informally organized group that meets more or less regularly to explore and discuss a wide array of topics, ranging from philosophical speculation to scientific research. All Seminars are open to the public.
