SATURDAY 3/16: Tribute to Titanic at Arts Enter

Saturday, March 16, Arts Enter will pay tribute to Titanic with a day of food, film and friends.

At 10 a.m. the Academy Award-winning 1953 version of Titanic starring Barbara Stanwyck and Clifton Webb will be shown on the big screen of the Palace Theatre in Cape Charles. Donations will be accepted.

At 1 p.m. a feast of shrimp cocktail, finger sandwiches of chicken and egg salad, or cucumber sandwiches, cold thick-sliced roast beef with hollandaise sauce, asparagus salad, parmentier potatoes, dinner rolls, Waldorf pudding, and small eclairs for dessert will be served along with champagne, tea, and coffee.

There will be artifacts from the ship, other memorabilia, and interesting commentary.

If guests wish to dress in early century attire, costumes are for rent at Arts Enter.

After lunch, the 1997 James Cameron film featuring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DeCaprio will be shown.

The cost is $30/person.
