FRIDAY 11/22: Is Gun Control About Guns, Or Control?

Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia presents “GUN CONTROL: Is It about Guns, or Control?” 12:30 p.m. Friday, November 22, in the Lecture Hall of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy., Melfa.

Bill Stilwagen will provide an exchange of ideas on gun control by discussing popular sound bites and catch phrases in an attempt to sort out some basic truths, stereotypical images, and exaggerations in the media about ownership and government control, and the use and misuse of guns in our society.

Stilwagen, here on the Shore for 15 years, is a Marine combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He currently serves as a bush guide in the jungles and mountains of Vietnam, returning veterans to the places they walked when young.
