The Great Bay Run in Cape Charles aims to bring a competitive and fun racing experience to the Eastern Shore. The race is directed by Eric Hack and Eva Noonan. Eric moved to the Eastern Shore of Virginia seven years ago to take a teaching position at Broadwater Academy. Bringing his passion for running with him, he started cross country and track teams at the school. He coaches both teams, along with Eva.

Proceeds from the race will be equally split between the teams that the co-directors coach, as well as The Boys and Girls Club of the Eastern Shore. The Boys and Girls Club of the Eastern Shore seeks to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Overall awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in the 5k and 1 mile fun run/walk (1st, 2nd, and 3rd places), as well as in various age categories. Pre-registered entrants are guaranteed a T-shirt.
