You are generalizing about Bay Creek property owners, assuming that they share a uniform agenda when, in fact, they don’t. If you choose not to patronize Bay Creek businesses, it would make barely a dent in their revenue; if they choose to retaliate and not patronize businesses in the Historic District, then expect Mason Avenue to flounder. Furthermore, paying taxes late usually indicates hardship rather than disregard, and late penalties mean more revenue for the county/town. Enough Bay Creekers have sustained significant losses or have lost their investments – time to give them a break and ease off on erecting barriers that go beyond the fence.

The way the citizens of Bay Creek have treated Old School Cape Charles, coming in totally uninformed about the community center and screaming about their taxes going up, when in reality our taxes have gone up because of Bay Creek, you can believe I will never support any of their business again.

Perhaps the citizens of Cape Charles can stop patronizing anything Bay Creek owns (golf, restaurant, marina) to send a clear message: We’ll come back when you are all paid up.
