I am sorry to see Larry Veber abandon his Town Council candidacy and, very likely, his future involvement in Town leadership. I first met Larry about 10 years ago, as he was picking up trash from the median on our street, blocks away from his home. Since then, I have seen Larry and his wife Trina in an active role at every single event I attended and I have continuously heard of his involvement in the life of Cape Charles from various – mostly media – sources.

Cape Charles had plenty of litter a decade ago: our charming Casbah on the Bay was pretty trashed, and a little dangerous. The town’s chic resort status proudly promoted on billboards and in other print media today would have never been possible without people like Larry Veber (and dedicated investors).

Larry most likely has no clue of my existence - I am a weekender. I, however, have been keenly aware of Larry’s contribution to my quality of life in Cape Charles and I am very, very grateful. Larry Veber, you will always have my vote.
