Shame on city slicker Mr Cape Charles Hotel Gammino for getting over on a small town that couldn’t recognize a bad actor. The hotel is beautiful on the inside, but the outside glass balconies look as cheap as he told us they were when he put them up. Mr Gammino could have played by the rules and done the right thing in the first place, but he didn’t. He knew he’d beat a small town at his silly game, and he did.

D. Bender said, "It does not blend with the rest of the street in any way, shape or form."

That's because it is now an active/open establishment. Much preferred to a derelict (but "historic") storefront!

I always knew that the Town Council would override the HRB! No wonder most of the HRB quit. The hotel would look nice in Ocean City, Rehoboth, or Virginia Beach. Not on Mason Avenue, and I am not the only person in this town that feels this way. It does not blend with the rest of the street in any way, shape or form.

Wow, that didn't take long and a 4-0 vote. I hope this is the start of some new thinking and possibly some new opportunities in Cape Charles. I for one would like to see the town grow.

Good stuff. Can't wait for Spring to get here and for folks out leisurely walking the sidewalks, kids riding their bicycles, families enjoying the beach, the hotel, the B&B's, and shops and restaurants all enjoying the recovering economy in Cape Charles. Oh, and for the Brown Dog to open its doors again!
