that should be interesting -- a whole bunch of experts to give their opinion on how to bring Northampton from the bottom of economic ladder into prosperity. When I moved here some 20 years ago I heard similar experts give their opinions. Since then, we have had the population decline, businesses move away, families have left to find jobs in another state, our taxes have increased, we lost the industrial park, we lost the biggest bank in the country, and we are going to loose the hospital. And the above-mentioned experts are going to change that around? Anyone want to buy the Brooklyn Bridge? The only one that knew how to fix our problem was Mr. Hoffler, the successful builder of Virginia Beach, but no one would listen. He said it: We have a deep water port, a railroad, a highway, and an airport easily expanded for larger planes). We must attract the foreign travelers -- especially China with their fast-growing middle class. So there you have it.
