Ms. Reid and Alex Marshall did an outstanding job with this contest. A point of fact is this contest is conducted on a state and national level. To have one school win this two years in a row at the state level is highly commendable; especially when you think of the thousands of essays that were screened for this honor. This is the type of story that should be in the local papers. The teachers and students at this school are the future of the ESVA and we should celebrate their grand achievements. On behalf of Post 56 I’d also like to thank Legionnaire Bill Payne for all of his efforts throughout the years with this Middle School Essay Contest. Let’s make it three in a row for next year!
