FRIDAY 3/13: Nanotechnology — Past and Future of a Big Little Idea

The Science and Philosophy Seminar next offering is “Nanotechnology: the Past and Future of a Big Little Idea.” The free 90-minute seminar will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 13, in the Lecture Hall of Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy., Melfa.

Josh Hall will describe how, starting as a well-defined idea, over the past decade “nanotechnology” has become a techno-buzzword and has broadened to cover a vast array of pursuits and phenomena, and how it will likely re-emerge in the coming decade. Hall has been working and publishing in nanotechnology since the 1980s.
