WEDNESDAY 10/3: Harvest Festival at Sunset Beach

On the first Wednesday in October, the 2012 Harvest Festival will be held in Northampton County. Set along the Chesapeake Bay, the event is an unforgettable afternoon of seafood, fun, festivities and hospitality where local and state business leaders, politicians and Shore folks gather.

The Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce presents the 20th annual Harvest Festival on Wednesday, October 3, at Sunset Beach Resort.

Enjoy all-you-can-eat seafood including clam chowder, flounder, crab balls, and shrimp. Savor the pork barbecue, sweet potato pie, and Cherrystone oysters on a half shell and steamed clams. Soda and water are included. Beer and local wine will be available for an additional cost.

Tickets are $40, plus a $3 online fee per order. Visit http://www.esvachamber.org/events/harvest.asp

You’re stating that the Harvest Festival, that we love to attend, is the first Wednesday in October. But he headline says 10/3 which would mean they moved it to Friday. is that the case ? Or is it still Wednesday?

Sad to say, after 21 years the Harvest Festival has been discontinued. The news item you read is from 2012. We have added the year to the story to avoid any further confusion. –EDITOR
