SATURDAY 6/21: Learn About Pollinators at ESVA Wildlife Refuge

The Eastern Shore of Virginia National Wildlife Refuge invites you to come and celebrate with us the spectacular ways of pollinator bees and other insects.  Saturday June 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be free crafts and activities for children and information stands about pollinators and what you can do to help them in your own backyard.

In addition to the informational and activity tables we will also have some members of the Beekeepers of the Eastern Shore at the event with a display and observation hive. Visitors may also walk through the refuge’s native plant gardens and observe pollinators hard at work and take a stroll down the 0.5 mile butterfly trail to the WWII bunker and marsh overlook.

The Visitor Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from April through November, and the trails are open from a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after sunset. There is no admission fee.
