MONDAY 3/24: Joint Meeting of County Supervisors, Planning Commission and PSA

On Monday, March 24, at 5 p.m. in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, the Northampton County Board of Supervisors will conduct a regular work session to include the annual meeting with the NHC Planning Commission and a joint meeting with the Eastern Shore of Virginia Public Service Authority.

At the conclusion of the March 11 public hearing on the 2014 Northampton County Zoning Code, amendments previously referred to the Planning Commission pursuant to Virginia Code, the Planning Commission was allotted a maximum of 100 days or no later than May 30 to submit recommendations to the Board regarding the proposed changes to the Zoning Code.

At its March 19 meeting the Planning Commission agreed to request authorization from the Board of Supervisors to hire a consultant so that they can complete this task in a timely manner.
