SATURDAY 3/22: Fundraiser Dinner Helps Send Tyler Brown to Spain

Tyler Brown, son of Susan and Dallas Brown, has been chosen to play baseball for the America’s Team in Barcelona, Spain, from July 14 to July 22. To support Tyler’s costs for the program, a fundraiser will be held at the American Legion in Cheriton on Saturday, March 22, from 4-8 p.m.

There will be Fried Chicken Dinner for $10 (Eat in or Carryout), Silent Auction, 50/50, and Door Prizes throughout the evening. If you prefer to support Tyler online, you can make a donation at http://www.amteamsport.com.

Tyler is the grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Loomis of Cape Charles, Mr. & Mrs. Tim Howard of Cheriton, and the late Donald Brown.

The America’s Team brings teamwork, sportsmanship and competition to life. Every player on America’s Team is recommended by a coaching professional or a former athlete. Recommendations are based upon integrity, character and overall athletic ability. The America’s Teams are made of individuals that make great ambassadors and great athletes. Competing internationally broadens student athletes’ horizons and inspires interest in learning both the game Tyler loves and will give him the opportunity to learn about new cultures. When they are not playing, Tyler will have the opportunity to visit places such as Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia. He will learn new language skills and gain the confidence to use them.
