Cerebral Palsy Benefit at Sunset Beach Is Great Success

The inaugural Brews, Band, BBQ & Oysters Too! took place on Saturday, October 18 and was a delight to all of the senses. The aroma of spicy-sweet smoked barbecue filled the air. Hoppy beers tickled the taste buds. Even the most reluctant dancers found themselves tapping their feet to the beat of the music. As if by special request the weather was perfect with the sun shining and a coastal breeze blowing. Looking around, smiles adorned the faces of a large crowd coming together to benefit Cerebral Palsy of Virginia – a nonprofit serving children and adults with disabilities on the Eastern Shore and throughout Virginia. Register for Master Gardener Training Class

The Eastern Shore of Virginia Master Gardeners Program is accepting applications for the 2015 Master Gardener training class, which will be held at the Eastern Shore Agriculture Research and Experimental Center, 33446 Research Drive, Painter, beginning January 14, and continuing every Wednesday from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. through April 15.  The cost is $100 to cover materials and lectures.  [Read more…]

SATURDAY 10/25: Free Drive-Thru Flu Shots at ESCC

The Eastern Shore Health Department is offering free flu vaccines this Saturday, October 25, at the Eastern Shore Community College from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.. The vaccine is available free of charge to adults 18 and older. This is a drive-thru clinic and you will not need to exit your car.
