TUESDAY 4/30: Learn about Community Supported Agriculture at Copper Cricket Farms and Mattawoman Creek Farms

Join the Virginia Eastern Shore Land Trust April 30 for an afternoon tour of two local farms, Copper Cricket Farms and Mattawoman Creek Farms.

Come see firsthand the methods and practices these established local farms employ. Explore a successful Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program operated on only 1.5 acres at Copper Cricket Farms.

And learn about Mattawoman Creek Farms’ 44 acre certified organic operation that sells direct to consumer through a CSA as well as to restaurants and stores.

The VES Land Trust will provide transportation. Space is limited to 12 people. Please RSVP by calling (757) 442-5885.

1:30 p.m. — Leave the VES Land Trust office in Belle Haven
2:00-3:30 p.m. — Tour Copper Cricket Farms
3:40 p.m.  — Leave Copper Cricket Farms
4:00-5:00 p.m. — Tour Mattawoman Creek Farms
5:30 p.m.  — Return to office in Belle Haven
