Barefoot Puppet Theatre shows feature contemporary adaptations of world folktales, classic tales with a twist, myths, and works based on true stories. The scripts, puppets, music and sets are all original. The puppeteers know that children’s shows need to be fun and interactive, so each script is carefully written to create a rhythm that balances the actions, words, and music of the production with the laughter and spontaneity of the children. Audiences love their innovative, hand-crafted puppets and beautifully built staging and scenery.

This event is sponsored in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts.
