Vote February 25 for State House Special Election

Voters in the 100th District, which includes Northampton and Accomack counties, are reminded of the Tuesday, February 25, Special Election for House of Delegates.

The Democratic candidate is Willie C. Randall, and the Republican candidate is Robert S. Bloxom, Jr.

Voting will be at the polling place listed on voter registration cards —  NOT where the recent primary elections were held.

Because of the abbreviated timeframe of this special election, ballots are being prepared as quickly as possible for absentee voting. The Northampton County voter registration office in Eastville expects to be ready for in-person voting by Tuesday, February 18, or possibly sooner. Persons needing to vote sooner should call (757) 678-0480.

Requests for a mailed absentee ballot must be received no later than 5 p.m., February 18, which is also the last day to register to vote or change information on your voter registration.

In-person absentee voting will be available through Saturday, February 22. The Northampton voter registration office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
