Virginia Eastern Shorekeeper Creates Legal Action Fund

Virginia Eastern Shorekeeper is creating a Legal Action Fund as part of an effort to expand capabilities on the Eastern Shore. This will enable supporters to earmark donations for legal research and litigation.

“This fund represents yet another tool for Virginia Eastern Shorekeeper and the citizens in our region to bring to bear in the support of clean water,” explained Shorekeeper Jay Ford.  “Our work as clean water advocates takes many forms ranging from education programs, water quality monitoring, and lobbying our legislators. The VES Legal Action fund will give us an additional option of last resort for those times we have exhausted all other avenues. Our community needs a mechanism to stand as one when our precious waters are threatened and Virginia Eastern Shorekeeper is proud to provide this crucial service,” Ford said.
