SATURDAY 10/5: Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Nassawadox

The Alzheimer’s Association invites Eastern Shore residents to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The annual walk will take place 10 a.m. Saturday, October 5, in Nassawadox at the Senior Perspectives Office, 9559 Hospital Avenue.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s is more than a walk. It is an experience for over 150 participants on the Eastern Shore who will learn about Alzheimer’s disease and how to get involved with this critical cause, from advocacy opportunities, the latest in Alzheimer’s research and clinical trial enrollment to support programs and services. Each walker will also join in a meaningful ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

Registration is free, but if participants raise $100 they will receive at T-shirt. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., ceremony starts at 9:30, and the 1 to 3 mile walk begins at 10 a.m. Dogs are welcome as long as local leash and clean up laws are followed.
