FRIDAY 4/19: ‘The Internet of Things’ Seminar at ESCC

The Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia will present “Information Shadows:  The Internet of Things” 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, in the Eastern Shore Community College lecture hall, 29300 Lankford Hwy, Melfa.

Bob Mayes will discuss how as the Web continues to expand it is changing our relationship to the material world and to each other. Mayes is an Information Systems professional with over 30 years in the design of large-scale systems.

The Science and Philosophy Seminar explores topics ranging from philosophical speculation to scientific research. All seminars are free and open to the public.
