SATURDAY 4/27: Historical Society Annual Low Country Shrimp Boil at Cape Charles Museum

The Cape Charles  Historical Society will hold its Annual Low Country Shrimp Boil 5-9 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Cape Charles Museum.

This is the same day as the Garden Day on the Eastern Shore, a great time to visit.

Menu features the famous Louisiana shrimp boil recipe: shrimp cooked with red potatoes, special “Old Timer” sausage shipped in from Alabama, corn on the cob, onions, and peppers.

Accompaniments include homemade rolls and coleslaw, dessert and beverages, with wine and beer available.

All enjoyed with live music by “Loaded Goat,” a local  band.

There will also be a Silent Auction and the traditional 50/50 raffle.

Seating is available inside the Museum or outdoors under the tent.

Tickets are $30, ($10 for children 7 to 12) and are available by cash or check at Sullivan’s Office Supplies in Cape Charles (571-331-3180) or by credit card by sending an email to [email protected]. Also available at the Museum the week of the event.

Event sponsors  are  most welcome –- two free tickets with every $100 of sponsorship.

Donations for the Silent Auction are also welcome.
