SATURDAY 5/4: 2nd Annual Crabby Blues Festival at Central Park

The Cape Charles Christian School’s Crabby Blues Festival is 3-8 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Central Park.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children when purchased in advance, and $12-$7 at the gate.

Admission includes an afternoon of fabulous music, a bounce house, games for kids, a petting zoo, and a ride on the crabby train. Purchase at Sullivan’s, Rayfield’s Pharmacy, Cape Charles Christian School, Nottingham Seafood, and Little Italy.

The musical lineup includes Heather and the Oyster Boys, Freshwater Frank and the Fish Band, John Baldwin, Scott and Melinda, and the Shy Teds.

The Cape Charles Band will make its big debut as well.

Food vendors are Kelly’s Pub, Hook U Up, Debby Kozak with Otter Creek Catering, Kona Ice, Billy P’s, Eastern Shore Roasting Co., and The Dilley Delights.

There will also be clams and oysters from Cherrystone Creek Clam and Oyster Co., fried and soft crabs from Kat and Diane’s Soul Food Kitchen, and soup from Aqua Restaurant at King’s Creek Marina.

Food choices include beef sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, funnel cakes, shaved ice, cheese steak subs with all the fixins’, a shrimp boil, and chicken and sausage jambalaya.

There will also be steamed crabs, fresh off the boat, cooking all day long.

The beer and wine truck will be provided by the Citizens for Central Park.
