SATURDAY 2/23: Eastern Shore Heritage Celebration Features Music, Crafts, Literary Open Mic

The Eastern Shore Community College Foundation will host the 12th Annual Eastern Shore Heritage Celebration 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, February 23.

Activities include lectures and live music performances by the ESO Arts Center.

Local artists and craftsmen will demonstrate their skill and many will have items available for sale.

The college student photography club, SNAP, will have an exhibit, and food will be sold.

Writers from all literary genres (poetry, fiction and nonfiction) are invited to read their work (3 minutes) at the Open Mic Reading from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in Room A-46.

The 2013 American Honey Queen will speak about the importance of honeybees to Virginia agriculture and how honeybees are worth billions in pollination.
